Who was the first emperor of the Roman Empire?

Any idea? Give up? Well, we’ll tell you. It was a fella by the name of Gaius Octavius Thurinus. But you may know him by his adopted name, Augustus.

Now why are we telling you this? Well, apart from our everlasting desire to impart knowledge. It’s the month of August! and It’s our old friend Augustus who gave the month its name. Remember every day’s a school day here at Litmos Heroes and we’ll give you that fantastic fact gratis.

(Bonus fun fact: Gratis was actually the name of Augustus’ cousin. Mainly known for running out of places without paying his bill. Disclaimer: this may not be true.)

New Courses

These fresh new courses could be some of our most diverse yet. Don’t believe us? Check them out for yourself;

  • LinkedIn Basics (part of our new Online Social Presence collection)
    LinkedIn’s been around for years now. But so have Lamborghini’s and we’ve still never tried one of them. Point is, not everyone is familiar with it. This course is here to explain the basics. What it is, how it works, how you can use it.
  • Forklift Training (UK) (part of our Health and Safety Essentials collection)
    So, you want to be a forklift driver? We get it. Of course, you do – because who wouldn’t? It’s an excellent career choice. But in order to become a qualified forklift driver, you will need to be able to demonstrate the requisite knowledge and skills to operate a forklift safely. This is course is here to show what you’ll need to know.
  • Communication and Social Skills – Receiving Feedback (part of the Sixty Second Skills collection)
    Being able to take feedback in a gracious, productive way is not only great for others around you, it hugely benefits your own development. This course is all about swallowing your pride and using feedback to your advantage.
